These works revive a painterly method first developed by Italian IMIB-member and situationist Giuseppe Pinot-Gallizio, namely that of Pittura Industriale or industrial painting. Gallizio first explored this technique of painting on continuous rolls of canvas in the late 1950s as a means of deflating the art market by saturating it with assembly line abstractions .
